Meal of the Week: Being Who You Are Is More Than Enough

There’s a difference between growing and conforming. When you strive to grow as an individual you’re making a decision to enhance who you are. When you conform, you’re making a decision to change who you are to fit someone else’s standards or expectations. Don’t allow anyone or anything to convince you that conforming is in your best interest, it is not.

You do not have to conform to be successful.

You do not have to fit in to be important.

Being who you are is more than enough.

Remember, if you have to lose your identity to become successful, then it’s really not your success. Every day, you have a choice, do I lose my identity and make a fictional character successful? Or do I awaken the person I was created to be; the person that’s equipped with all the necessary ingredients to achieve far greater success than anyone I could pretend to be?

The Choice is Yours.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so very happy this post resonated with you.

P.S. – I read some of your poetry and you’re a very talented writer! I look forward to reading more of your work.

      Thanks again,
      Ciara

      • It came just at the right time. Just the other day I was wondering if I should try this conforming thing and then I read your post. Talk a bout a sign!

Aww thank you. I always seem to think what I write makes no sense at all. I haven’t written anything in a really long time, might need to get back into that sometime soon. 🙂
