Starting this month, The Service Counter will have a section dedicated to book reviews! Each month, I’ve set a goal to read at least one book. After I finish each book, I will write my thoughts about it. The format will be easy to follow and very concise. I will not write a novel, I promise.
My book topics will vary. For example, this month I am reading, “Wherever You Go, There You Are,” by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This book is about meditation. Next month, I may read a book about financial literacy. The one theme that will always be consistent is that each book will help develop me personally, professionally or spiritually.
Over time, I would like to create a platform for us to share what we’re reading and what we’ve learned from each book that we’ve read. I believe there’s so much we can learn from a book, but it’s even better when we can teach what we’ve learned to others.
So I’m excited about this, are you? Let’s get started. I’m curious, what book(s) are you currently reading?
