We can learn a lot from children, but this is one of the greatest lessons that we often overlook.
We’ve all heard some variation of the expression- “It doesn’t matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you get up. ” And that’s true. But what that expression doesn’t tell you is that…
The fall serves a purpose.
We have to be honest with ourselves. We are all going to fail at something. We are going to fall short of our goals occasionally. We are going to have unsuccessful relationships. We may even have a few unsuccessful businesses.
That’s life and it’s okay.
Sometimes your fall is your greatest teacher, but you can miss its lessons by trying to get up too quickly. Take some time to sit there after your fall and ask yourself one question, “What can this fall teach me?”
Once you’re equipped with the lessons, wisdom and knowledge each fall offers, you’ll see that with each fall, no matter how bad it looks or how bad it hurts, you get up stronger, more confident and more clear about your purpose.
